Description

The Chiltern greys are my favourite geese, they are a commercial “hybrid” goose originating from the toulouse breed and therefore are not recognised by the poultry club of great britain. They are a large goose with beautiful deep grey plumage and orange bills. Bred for meat production, they produce a high meat yield but are also pretty decent layers of around 20-40 BIG white eggs a year and I have found the geese to be quiet natured (ganders can be protective during breeding season), the goslings are also the most sociable we’ve hatched so far.
Geese usually start laying anytime between end of february and april depending on the weather conditions, goslings and older birds will be available later in the year. Single females or males may be available depending on how many of each we hatch.

Please note- We do not post birds, this is a pre-visit purchase service, birds must be collected within 7 days of purchase. Please contact us before purchasing if you require a poultry courier.
